Biodiversity and Sustainability Go hand in hand, Biodiversity is the variety of plants and animals in an eco-zone. The greater the biodiversity the much advantageous it is because for example if there is just one type of fish in the pond, one desiese could wipe out the whole population but if there were many differnt kinds of fish, only one species would temperarly be gone. But for biodiversity to succeed there must be sustainability - the ability to sustain or last - there must me enough things such as - space - food - water - etc for species so survive. There are many more things related to this topic, if you need any help you can just ask me

Biodiversity, a contraction of the phrase "biological diversity," is a complex topic, covering many aspects of biological variation. In popular usage, the word biodiversity is often used to describe all the species living in a particular area. If we consider this area at its largest scale - the entire world - then biodiversity can be summarized as "life on earth." However, scientists use a broader definition of biodiversity, designed to include not only living organisms and their complex interactions, but also interactions with the abiotic (non-living) aspects of their environment. Definitions emphasizing one aspect or another of this biological variation can be found throughout the scientific and lay literature u can see more here http://cnx.org/content/m12151/latest/
