This is incorrect. Only 10% of the sun's energy is transferred each time. Producers get 100%, then ****Primary Consumers get 10%****, then secondary consumers get 1% and so on. You are looking for a Primary consumer. Which of these animal fed directly upon a Producer? The answer is Mouse.

yeah it's the mouse. the mouse was the first to eat of the shrub. had your answer choice been the insect instead of mouse then it would be insect because again like Turner said, which consumer eat of the producer first
