hiralpatel121 2 years ago I need help with the attached problem:

1. hiralpatel121

I got 1.425 but it's wrong.

2. hiralpatel121

Sample problem:

3. Romero

$\int\limits_{0}^{3}\frac{5}{9x+1}dx$$5\int\limits_{0}^{3}\frac{1}{9x+1}dx$we pull the 5 out and we are left with that

4. Romero

the integration of 1/x is ln x

5. Romero

then when you integrate you are left with $5(\ln| 9(3)+1|-\ln| 9(0)+1| )$

6. Romero

simplify that and plug into a calculator and that should be your answer.

7. hiralpatel121

I need help in simplifying that. I'm only supposed to get a fraction/whole number for an answer.

8. Romero

Ok the right hand part simplifies into ln (0+1)= ln (1) and we know ln(1)=0

9. Romero

wait hold on

10. hiralpatel121

Okay.

11. Romero

we are left with $\frac{5}{9}*\ln 28$

12. Romero

plug that into a calculator

13. hiralpatel121

I mean: 1.851224728

14. Romero

yup that's right

15. hiralpatel121

Okay, thanks so much! Will you be on tomorrow? I need help with 8 more problems.

16. Romero

sure...im kinda tired now. haha

17. hiralpatel121

Yes, me too. I spent the whole day working on calc. Haha, anyways, what time will you be on tomorrow? I'm in the New York/Newark time zone.

18. Romero

Idk I'm usually on from the morning like 8 or 9 pacific time until I sleep. I'm on vacation so im on most of the day.

19. hiralpatel121

Okay, if you're not on when I am, I'll just message you.
