## anonymous 4 years ago I need help with the attached problem:

1. anonymous

I got 1.425 but it's wrong.

2. anonymous

Sample problem:

3. anonymous

$\int\limits_{0}^{3}\frac{5}{9x+1}dx$$5\int\limits_{0}^{3}\frac{1}{9x+1}dx$we pull the 5 out and we are left with that

4. anonymous

the integration of 1/x is ln x

5. anonymous

then when you integrate you are left with $5(\ln| 9(3)+1|-\ln| 9(0)+1| )$

6. anonymous

simplify that and plug into a calculator and that should be your answer.

7. anonymous

I need help in simplifying that. I'm only supposed to get a fraction/whole number for an answer.

8. anonymous

Ok the right hand part simplifies into ln (0+1)= ln (1) and we know ln(1)=0

9. anonymous

wait hold on

10. anonymous

Okay.

11. anonymous

we are left with $\frac{5}{9}*\ln 28$

12. anonymous

plug that into a calculator

13. anonymous

I mean: 1.851224728

14. anonymous

yup that's right

15. anonymous

Okay, thanks so much! Will you be on tomorrow? I need help with 8 more problems.
