Molly finds two sticks and wants to build a kite for her little brother. The sticks are 16 inches and 22 inches long, and she plans on using them as the diagonals of the kite. Molly will need a minimum of _____ square inches of fabric to make the kite.

    16*22=352 then divide that by 2 its 176

    Sorry.. I got carried away.. The answer can simply be obtained by summing the area of two triangles as, 0.5 * 22 * 16 = 176

    as, each triangle has a base of 22 and a height of 8 ... so, 2 * (1/2 * 22 * 8)
