9-2x=7-x

    Let's check then.\[9 - 2(-16) = 9 - (-32) = 41 \]\[ 7 - x = 7 - (-16) = 23 \]

    9-2x=7-x +x +x 7=-1x-9 +9 + 9 16 = -1x x=-16

    Ok...You were lost on your first step. You are supposed to add '2x' to both sides. not just x:)
