(MS Word help) This is not really a homework question, but it will greatly improve my visual comfort while writing if someone can help me. As you can see in this link, MS Word blue. I am referring to the screen BEHIND the actual document; not the document, itself. http://saparavur.blogspot.com/2012/02/microsoft-office-2003-compatibility.html Out of the blue, my MS Word background is grey. I did not purposely change any settings, and I much prefer the blue. What did I do? And how can I undo it? Thanks a bunch!

It sounds like you changed the Word theme, but this is easy to change back. Here's what you do: 1) Open Word 2) Click on the office button (The big round one in the upper left with the funky Windows logo) 3) Click Word Options at the bottom of the window 4) On the sidebar to the left select Popular if it is not already selected 5) In the drop down box next to Theme, it probably says Silver. Change it to Blue And that should do it.

Thank you! It worked! I don't know how in the heck I changed it. Weird. :)

Here is the thing with drop down boxes. If a drop down box is highlighted and you accidentally move the scroll wheel, it will change the drop down box selection. Go back to the Theme box as I described and try it. You will switch from blue to silver to black. So probably what happened was at sometime you or someone else was in the Word options, had the box selected and accidentally scrolled without knowing it. It happens to me all the time at work. The system we use has a lot of drop downs and sometimes I will forget to unhighlight one by clicking else where and then I go to scroll the page and switch the selection to something else.

Oh! I'll have to be more careful. Thanks!
