When a question is asked, that person can't receive a medal, but I would appreciate it very much if in that same location was a message that said "Medal awarded to X person" if they did. Often times I see questions answered and medals awarded but I don't know if the medal was given by the asker or just some person who thought that it was a good answer. It would let me know that the person who's asking the question found a response worth rewarding or not.

    Medals 0

Theoretically, closing a question is the asker's means of indicating that they consider the response satisfactory. Though it would be an intriguing twist to see which users have given medals for a particular response...

    Medals 1

I doubt we would ever expose the full list of who gave medals, but it may be worth it to indicate when an asker gives the medal.
