anybody can tell me about passive components or lumped elements

    passive components are the elements in a circuit which use the energy (part of the energy) given to it. ie elements like resistor,capacitor etc

    exactly. In other words passive components consume power, while active provide it

    passive components may be slaves to those components which are actively involved in operation .ie they are dependent on other(active components ) for their survival ...
