Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.3The metric system is centered around the number 10. Each unit goes up by 10. A decameter is 10 meters. A hectometer is 10 decameters. A kilometer is 10 hectometers. a good mnemonic to remember this is: King Henry died (only/by) drinking chocolate milk. they are, in order: Kilo1000X base Hecto100X base Deca10X base One/Base ex: liter, meter, gram Decibase/10 Centibase/100 Milibase/1000 Hope this helps you! :)
