I'm assuming you mean Z the atomic number? If so, the elements go by increasing number ( Hydrogen Z=1, He Z=2, etc...). As for the group, Theres 1A, 2A then you should skip the transition metal ( Sc. to Zn). So the group of Aluminum will be 3, and so forth. I hope I helped :/ that's all i understood. :)

Z=33 Symbol "As" Group Number 15 Z=20 Symbol "Ca" Group Number 2 Z=35 Symbol "Br" Group Number 17 Z=19 Symbol "K" Group Number 1 Z=12 Symbol "Mg" Group Number 2 I think that is right based off what you said.. Z stands for "atomic number", the atomic number is the number of Protons. I just looked for that number on the periodic table and found the information.

Thank you! I actually figured that they wrote the symbol on the bottom and just need the atomic # silly me for being sleepy while doing hw haha
