A sailboat sail is triangular with a height 10ft greater than it's base. If the sails area is 72 sq ft, find it's base and height.

    well assuming you have a graphing calculator i put down (1/2)(x(x+10))-72 find when y=0 and got x=8

    It's nothing, you have to solve for x first. It's just an equation so you find your base and height.
