OpenStudy is partnering with MIT, Codecademy, and P2PU to offer a Mechanical MOOC starting October 15. http://mechanicalmooc.org This course will focus on "A Gentle Introduction to Python" a great language for beginners or advanced users. I'm working through a test run right now and so far it's great. You should definitely check it out.
