Explain what it means to bisect a segment. Why is it impossible to bisect a line?

    bisecting a segment means cutting it in half. making it into two equal pieces

    recall the definition of a line - a line is a bunch of points that extend forever in opposite directions. so you cannot bisect it cuz it has no endpoints. so you cant divide it into two equal pieces !
