I hope the article that TheWriter posted helps. I really don't know much about hyponosis. I've touched very little on that subject. I'm sorry, I do wish I could help. I have heard that some people are more susceptible to hypnosis, and that it could be related to personality.

That makes sense, too. There truly are some people who cannot be hypnotized, which I think is unfortunate, because hypnosis done by a professional can help with trauma cases.

come on---it is professional thing and need licence as well as a practice to do so.Basically a light seduction given to patient and targeted his unconscious mind to find what is kept there. If hypnotist is not highly trained he may damage your brain or you can go in unconscious for long time.

There are two types of hypnotism: Covert Hypnotism Trance hypnotism There is a rumor that we can make a person under our control and make him follow our instructions. This is usually a myth and this method was widely used in the "Stage Hypnosis." Vehemently, If a person has a strong moral courage he cannot be hypnotized. Though, some psychologists use trance hypnotism to put their subject's under trance and make them forget their undesirable memories . For more information do refer with Wikipedia.

There are different methods, such as conversational hypnosis that can be done during daytime and like on the street, but also there is deep hypnosis which is usually done in a dark room, with the suspect sitting or laying down.. http://hypnosispower.org/how-to-hypnotize-someone/
