    Conservatism is were you hold the values of tradition and keep a course and liberalism is were you are open minded and willing to accept new choices to advance.

    Originally nowadays when you hear those terms used it doesnt really hold that true value anymore. The ideals have strayed from that.

    For the 19th century it would be things like free speech, justice, freedom and such. But conservatism would support values from tradition like they feel like if something si working we should never change it.

    But in current time republicans and democrates have sort of they still practice those fundamentals but its really complex because it goes anyway just its hard to explain.
