    (-7) + (-4) is the same as -7 - 4

    When you're subtracting a positive number from a negative number, you add the numbers (ignore the negative or minus signs). Then you make the final result negative.

    when adding or subtracting degative numbers you just do the oppisite of what the sign says, so if it says t omultiply then you divide and if it says to divide then multiply
