A square room has a side of 8 ft. How many 6 by 6 in tiles are needed?

    If you find the area of the room in Inches. Then find the area of a single tile in Inches. You can then find the number of tiles needed by dividing the total area of the room by the size of a tile.

    Just remember to convert the dimensions of the room into Inches!.... OR convert the tile into feet. You must have the same unit to do the calculation.
