## AlainBarreto 3 years ago How do I solve : 3/10x - 1/5= -2

1. moser90

2. kcheung1

and then multiply by the recipricol of 3/10

3. kcheung1

is it (3/10)x - 1/5 = -2?

4. Freyes

x = 6?

5. Idunnolearning

its easier to make the terms similar so make -1/5 -2/10

6. Trexy

does the answer has to be fraction?

7. Idunnolearning

8. Idunnolearning

so now you have 3/10x=-2+2/10

9. Idunnolearning

now multiply both sides by 10/3

The answer should be -6. I just want to figure out an easy way to solve.

12. AlainBarreto

@Trexy no but it should be -6. Could you show me in sketch? Sorry I'm a visual learner :)

13. Trexy

ok this how i Solve it but I dont know how people solve the other way. so I got |dw:1348266248654:dw| |dw:1348266318719:dw|

14. AlainBarreto

@Trexy Thanks dood!! :)

15. Trexy

|dw:1348266516879:dw| if you dont know how to use fraction try using decimal first and then fraction. and ur welcome @AlainBarreto

16. AlainBarreto
