-3c-12=-5+c

    -3c - c = -5 + 12 (I've bought the c to the left side and -12 to the other side) -4c = 7 c = -7/4

    1.Add 3c both sides 2.Add 5 both sides 3.divide by 4 both sides.

    take variables @ one side & constants @ one side -3c-c=-5+12 .........(by transformation) -4c=7 c=-7/4
