so save you have (h,t) h being as you said height and t being time. so you have h = mt + i m being slope, i being your intersection, t being dependent on h so take your points (17,3) and (15,5) find the slope, y2y1/x2x1 plug one of the points and new slope into y = mx + b and then solve for b using your points. then you have your general equation. plug 8 into your x and you'll find your y

@ksmithhoward do you know how to find the equation of a line through the points (17,3) and (15,5)? First, find the slope 2nd, find the yinterecept, using one of the points in the formula y= mx+b to find b
