    they were both the establishment cliques. the sadduccees controlled the temple. after destruction in 70 a.d. no more reasons for their structure. the pharisees were the over class and the torah today is the one they used. there were several other factions. as today. one could say what do the roman catholics believe that the greek orthodox do not. mostly the pope there.
