Write an equation of a line in slope-intercept form for each of the given conditions slope = 1 and passes through (2, 5)

    y=mx+b, you know m, so plug in x and y to solve for b.

    so 5=1(2) + b <- solve that?

    Looks good to me. You can check your equation, by plugging in the point to see if it works.
