How do I find the invariant points of these two equations? Something about y = +- 1? y= (x^2 - 3x -10) and y = (x^2 - 3x -10)^-1

anything that is a radical of 1 is always it's self, and if \[y=\pm-1\] then wouldn't y be one of the following? \[(y_1=-1)(y_2=+1)\]
