The lengths of the sides of a triangle form three consecutive odd numbers. The perimeter is 21 centimeters. What is the length of the longest side?

    well, all this question is asking is "what consecutive odd numbers add up to 21? and what is the largest digit?"

    for instance, 3+5+7 does not equal 21, therefore it can't be 7 7+9+11 does not equal 21, so it can't be 11 however, there is a sequence of odd numbers that includes 7, that equals 21.
