## appleduardo 3 years ago what is the limit for the next function?

1. appleduardo

$\frac{ (3+h)^{-1} - 3^{-1}}{h }$

2. appleduardo

h ---> 0

3. chemENGINEER

you try a manipulation of L'hospital???????

4. VeritasVosLiberabit

you have an indeterminate of $\frac{ 0 }{0 }$ I would try l'hopital's rule

5. appleduardo

mm i dont know how!

6. VeritasVosLiberabit

I'm assuming h is just a variable that can be treated like x. just take the derivative of the top portion and the derivative of the bottom and see if you can find a limit as h->0

7. VeritasVosLiberabit

actually you may not have an indeterminate of $\frac{ 0 }{ 0 }$

8. VeritasVosLiberabit

$\lim_{h \rightarrow 0}\frac{ 1 }{ h[(3+h)-3] }$

9. appleduardo

but ho did we get the 1 in the numerator?

10. appleduardo

how*

11. VeritasVosLiberabit

I just rearranged the equation not sure exactly what to do next. Not sure what the question means by "next function"

12. appleduardo

mmm yaa, i dont know how to solve it !, my teacher doesnt allow me to derivate the function so i dont know what he want me to solve it :/

13. appleduardo

how* instead of what haha >.< :/
