Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Multiply the second equation by 2: (3.25xy=0.75) x 2 =6.5x 2y=1.5 Now subtract this new equation from the first one to eliminate y, i.e: 4.5x2y=12.5 (6.5x 2y=1.5) =>11x+0=11 x=11/11=1 put x back into the first eqn: 4.5(1)2y=12.5 4.52y=12.5 2y=12.5+4.5 y=8.5 so, x=1, y=8.5.
