    If your quadratic equation is of the form \[y = ax^{2} + bx + c\] Then the x=value of your vertex is given by the formula \[-\frac{b}{2a}\]

    And to find the y-value, either you plug in what you got for the x-value, or follow this formula \[\frac{4ac-b^{2}}{4a}\]
