Gina has a pair of wall hangings in the shape of congruent triangles. The measure of angle ABC is equal to the measure of angle DEF. What is the value of x? A. 3 B. 4.5 C. 6 D. 6.5 I did this twice and got x = 2 both times? What am I doing wrong here? Can someone help me?

    7/7 = 2x-4/x+2 7x+14 and 14x - 28 x=2 and x=2 7/5 = 2x-4/x+2 7x+14 and 10x-20 x = 2 and x = 2 ???Is this wrong???

    I think that you're looking at the problem wrong. Set 2x-4=x+2 and solve, because they are equal to each other and solve for x that way!

    2x-4=x+2 Add 4 to both sides 2x=x+6 Subtract x x=6 Yes!
