People who lived during the Great Depression often speak of how that experience changed them. Perhaps you have a grandparent who lived through those difficult years. People often developed habits of frugality during the Great Depression that stayed with them for the rest of their lives. Do you know anyone who experienced the Great Depression? Explain how that crisis might have changed him or her. How have your experiences made a mark on your life? Do you do things differently now because of something that happened to you? Explain.

This is kind of a tough one. It really depends if you know someone, or can talk to someone who lived that far back which can be hard to do nowadays. But here are a few links to stories told by those that lived through the Great Depression that might help you: Stories over at the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources: http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-54463_18670_18793-53511--,00.html NPR article with stories from people that lived through the Great Depression: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=97468008 An interview by another student as part of a project: http://www.glynn.k12.ga.us/BHS/academics/junior/hunt/phillipc14331f.htm These could give you some ideas on how to answer those questions. Hope this helps!

well my grandmother went through the great depression.. and she had 9 kids to take care of... shes always telling me how in her day she hardly got all of the "cool" things in life, and how she barley had enough money to cloth and feed herself, and her children.. my uncle is always complaining because he always got clothing from his older brothers it made my grandma more Conservative
