Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0You can describe the key event leading to the development of the cell theory as when Robert Hooke discovered cells first in 1665,after observing the cork slice under a primitive microscope. Later in 1855 Virchow suggested that all cells arise from the perexisting cells.With the invention of electron microscope in 1940, it was possible to observe and understand the complex structure of the cell and its various organelles.
