What does NADH have that is essential to the ETC?

    Well NADH goes through the Electron transport chain giving 3 ATP/NADP since it goes through all three electron transport chains....So ultimately it is essential for its ATP that you get from it

    NADH are the electron carriers that provide the electrons that are needed in order for them to get moved by the transport protein molecules for the electrons can release energy. The released energy by the electrons will be used to get H+ pumped out of the matrix and these hydrogens will eventually go through ATP synthase and produce ATP and water. Each NADH produces 3 ATPs.
