one gm of water ( volume 1 cm3) becomes 1671 cm3 of steam when boiled at a pressure of one atmosphere. The latent heat of vaporisation is 540 cal /g. The increase in internal energy of the system is : (options 499.7,489.7,450 & 580.3 cal) My attempt ; du = dQ +dW =540 +(1671-1)x1013x10^5x 10^-6(m3) /4.2 but none of the options is matching . Where am I going wrong?
