    \[(-2)^3*(-6)\]\[(-2)(-2)(-2)*(-6)\]\[(-8)*(-6)\] Remember that any number to the power of something means that you multiply that number times itself the same number of times that it is "to the power" of. Here, that means we multiply (-2) times itself three times.
