    \[4x^2-4x+1\] is an expression. What do you need to do with it? set it to zero? factor...

    When you factor you look at the frst term which is 4x squared and the second term in 1 you look at the middle in a second. the fromula for factoring is a squared+ (a+b)x+ b squared so you would use this and get 2x-1 squared
