The number is irrational, the reason being that it cannot be expressed as a fraction (integer over integer).

so is is a rational number. but converting it to decimal point you get a forever repeating number.

right, and irrationals have NON repeating decimals since this repeats, and we are to assume that it keeps this pattern; it cannot be irrational
