I need to find the intervals on which f is increasing or decreasing and the local maximum and minimum values of f.

    Graph it or take the derivative and use that method.

    first f'(x) ...plot the critical points...according to derivative test or properties draw concave up or down then find f''(x) and with chnge in x study nature of f''(x)...ur done
