I am at lecture 13
Having probs loading pylab
I have mac running OSX 10. 8 .2
using Idle python v 2.7. 3
Could not find installation instructions referred to in lecture
Went to source forge and downloaded matplotlib 1.10
tried to run import pylab got can't find numpy error
attempted to download numpy
got numpy 1.6.2 can't be installedd on this disk.
numpy requires python.org Python 2.6 to install
I would love to know what to do next
I am wondering if prob due to installing matplotlib before attempting numpy

INSTALLING ENTHOUGHT FOR MAC
To download Enthought on your Mac (Apple) machine, you should follow these steps:
Visit the Enthought website.
Click on the Download Button.
On the subsequent page, select the download file Mac. Do NOT use the 64 bit version, even if your operating system is 64-bit.
Once the file has downloaded to your system, complete the installation by double-clicking the .dmg file to mount the image. Next, double-click the .mpkg file to run the installer. Follow the installer's instructions to install on your machine.
Once you have completed the installation, you should be ready to use the Python environment. To do this, follow these steps:
Find the Enthought system on your machine and open the Idle program.
Open a Finder window, and click on Applications. You should see an Enthought folder. Open that folder, and double click on Idle.
Opening Idle should bring up a Python shell, resulting in the following:
This window is also sometimes referred to as the Python interpreter. While working in Python you should never close this window, as closing this window can result in issues. To quit the program, you should always explicitly quit (by choosing the Quit option from the Python menu).
Hope this helps!
