Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol i am editing it, there are some grammatical mistakes, like in third slide, there should be comma after well

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0sure, edit it the way you like :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0here is your edited one, it is brilliant and indeed you are genius, just a few minor changes are there

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0and find the places where i have done editing

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes i can see some :D

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@LonelyandForgotten finally no maths, okay great

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yep, no maths today :P

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0can you help with ordered pairs? :/ thats easyy stuff, i cant do that :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0post your question please

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0then post what you can't

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0okay well one is.. Determine whether the ordered pair (2, 15) is a solution of y = 4x 7.

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0put the value of x=2 and y=15 if this satisfies the equation then it is a solution else it is not like y=15, x=2 15=4*27 15 can't be equal to 87 which is 1 so as 15 can't be =1 therefore it is not a solution of this y=4x7

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0umm..okay i think i got that :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0umm this... :D A plumbing company charges $50 for a service call and $15 per hour. They went on a 3hour job. How much did the company earn? A. $195

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0sorry.. A. $195 B. $165 C. $95 D. $65

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well, $50 is charge and extra of $15 per hour so for three hours it will be $15*3=$45 and $50 is service call charge so total of $50+$45=$95 okay?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0most of the questions are like this, Determine whether the ordered pair (5, 3) is a solution of y = 3x – 4. .... i just wanna know how to solve those :/

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0look in all these equations just put x=5 and y=3 actually the content of bracket (5,3) are the values of x and y (x,y) now if putting x=5 and y=3 in the equation y=3x4 satisfies then it is a solution else not now put x=5 and y=3 3=3*54=154=11 3=154 which is not correct if we would have obtained 3=3 then it must be the solution but we got 3=11 which is false so its not a solution

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0i dont get it :/ where did the 15 and 11 come from?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@LonelyandForgotten ??

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well at the place of x in the equation put x=5 and at y put y=3 now y=3x4 put y=3 and x5 3=3*54 3*5= 15 3=154154=11 3=11 this is false , clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0okay it seems confusing but i will go over this a few times later, but thanks :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0just put y= its value and x= the value of x as in ordered pair in the equation and if both the sides are equal you will have it as solution else no

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0and this will help you more i guess http://www.virtualnerd.com/prealgebra/algebratools/testorderedpairequationsolution.php

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0please can we stop for now.. i dont wanna do this :(

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0umm.. are you sure? :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hahah am i sure come on keep asking

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0This is Last one.. please 7. Use a table of solutions to find the ordered pair solution for y = 4x – 6 when x = 10. A. (34, 10) B. (10, 34) C. (10, 8) D. (8, 10)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0no after this you're gonna do it unless you're finished :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0nope im not even close to being done :P

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0if we put x=10 in the equation y=4x6 we will get y= 4*106 , just at the place of x put x=10 y=406 y=34 therefore your ordered pair is (10,34) which means when x=10 , y=34 clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm next ? unless you are finished

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes i am finished, now thanks! :P lol

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0actually no.. sorry :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0whats a quadric eqaution?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0quadratic equations are those whose degree is two like the equation in which maximum power of x is 2 and minimum too like \[x^2+x+2=0, x^2+1=0, x^2=0\] equations in which power of x is two are quadratics ,so this type of equations are not quadratic , \[x+1=0, x^3+3x^2+x+3=0\] in quadratic power of x must be 2

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so your answer is option D cuz its cubic x has power 3 clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0its a conic section, created from the intersection of a right circular conical surface and a plane parallel to a generating straight line of that surface. like consider this dw:1353988143775:dw its a parabola and every quadratic equation represents a parabola so all the equations with degree two which means power of x should be 2 represents a prabola

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0dw:1353988155323:dw

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0sorry for my bad drawing :P lol thanks !! :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0A straight line C cubic curve D hyperbolic so its B clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes clear thank you! :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm should i draw the next question or just do screen shot of it, i think drawing would be too slow :P

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0take snap shot and attach it here fast

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0do you know what is vertex? if not then remember every parabola has lowest and highest point that point is called as vertex like the point where curve takes a turn here in this picture its (2,1) clear??

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0just see the point in the graph where parabola take,s turn at the bottom

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0ohh hmm i didnt know that well thanks that helps a lot i think i can do this now :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0noo i will finish this now :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0next please viki? i know you won't so ask now

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0what does Xintercepts mean?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0well x intercept means where the curve cuts the x axis or where the line meets x axis here in an exampledw:1353988840083:dw in this graph we can see that line cuts x axis at 2,0 so x intercept is 2 and y is 3

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol let me explain ;)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0intercept simply means the point where curve cuts the axes okay?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0what is it not clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0dw:1353989048953:dw you mean these things?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0its the point on axes like x axis or y where the curve cuts it okay like take an example of line dw:1353989013085:dw so that point 4, 0 says line cuts x axis at 4 so x intercept is 4

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes those things , where line passes the axis

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm alright i understand now, thanks :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0dw:1353989111817:dw

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so the answer is (3,3) ?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0no intercept will always have either x=0 or y=0 so it could be (4.0) or (0,3)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0but it cant be 4 because line crosses at 3 :/

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0intercept is the length of or part of either axis where line cuts it so for x intercept you have to put y coordinate=0 and for y you have to put x=0 yes x intercept is 2 because line cuts x axis at 2 and y intercept is 3 cuz line cuts y at 3

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0but itc cant be 2!! it has to be one of the answer choices

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0show me the question please if it asks for x intercept then it would be, 2,0 or if it asks for y then it would be 0,3 show me question please

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0we just did it lol come on are you awake

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0wait sorry wrong question !! my bad :(

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0look in to th graph it cuts x axis twice at 1 and at 3 so can you find what are the x intercepts?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0remember y would be zero

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0is it A? im not really sure :/

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0come on if it is cutting x axis at 1 and 3 then x intercepts are 3,0 and 1,0 , silly :) clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm okay got it! :D thanks :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0come on now question please

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0cant you judge , x should have power of 2 so which one it is??

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm great thank you :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm i wont draw this time :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0parabola always have power 2 okay and its drawn up side which means positive so its B , clear?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0should i post screen shot instead lol ?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0what you are supposed to find in this question? vertex?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes find the vertex :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0and there is no coordinates hahahahaha take snapshot again lol

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0hmm alright im sorry :( i tried.. :'(

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0baby, look it turns at x=1 and y=4 that is the top point of parabola so its (1,4) okay :D ?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0okay :D sorry :D this is funny though :D

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0lol its really funny hehe

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I'm thinking it is A. right?

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0oh no, its D, 1,0 and 3,0

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0oh crap sorry i forgot it is negative :(

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0look to represent x intercept we write it like (x,0) because y is zero for x intercept and for y intercept we write it like (0,y) cuz x =0 so it cant be A ever cuz that shows y coordinate and you have to find x clear??

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes clear thank you :) this is the last question :)

anonymous
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes clear thank you :) this is the last question :)
