@brinethery is -17/2 the answer for this question?
Well, I got -2.
I'm not going to be of much help until you're willing to understand the process.
The answer is -2 that right!
Do you know HOW to solve for x?
@geerky42 @Dido525 dont give answers
I don't think he knows, but I'm perfectly willing to teach him.
I am willing to teach him too...
Just like surdawi said, multiply both sides by 4 to make it easier to find the value of x.
@surdawi It's too late...
Step 1: get a common denominator for all terms. Step 2: combine x-terms, and combine number terms. Step 3: get all x-terms on the left side, get all number terms on the right.
His mother is going to yell at him after he fails his algebra test.
As @brinethery said, if you can't do questions like this you won't have a easy time at calculus...
He'll learn eventually that his strategy won't work
He needs to go back to the basics before he does this. All the building blocks for this stuff are so important.
