I think it's C. The author uses direct characterization becausse the reader is able to find out much about the character from the authors description. I don't really see any irony in it.

i guess there isnt but i thought that maybe bc they think hes dumb but hes notbut guess not ... oh i get it i didnt think about it that way thanks!:)
