    sure... using pemdas (perenthesis exponent...u get the point) inside the parenthesis there is nothing to simplify so you jump to the exponent step and yes there is an exponent, so (1.08)^20 is 4.66095714385 then you just multiply by 100 for the last step getting you 466.095714385. (just move the decimal 2 places to the right
