    is clay more heavy than rock

      Hmm what an interesting question, I don't know the answer (may have to do some research here). You would need to keep in mind a few things (a) the size of the particles. Keep in mind clay has a very fine particle size. (b) the weight of the minerals the clay/rock is made from (c) the density of the rock and the clay. Keep in mind as clay has such a fine particle size it is generally rather dense. What are your thoughts on this?
