An inch worm crawled 2/3 of a foot up a tree in the morning and then slipped down 1/4 of a foot in the afternoon. At the end of the day, how far was the worm from its starting point? Answer 11/12 ft 5/12 ft 4/7 ft 1/7 ft

    It crawled 2/3 of a foot up and then slipped 1/4 down. So u need to subtract 1/4 from 2/3 as @nubeer said.
