Why do most news reports include interviews with people? Interviewees pay to appear on the news, and this brings in more revenue. Interviews provide direct accounts of what is happening and how the public feels. Reporters usually interview their friends and family to try to get them on the news. Only journalists who are not credible choose to interact with the public.
