    There are logarithmic rules. If the logarithmic expressions have the same base and you subtract one from the other, you are supposed to divide the expressions under the same base. Same thing apply to addition of logarithmic expressions. This time you multiply them instead of division. The third one (C) is also one of the rules. If you there is an exponent on the number (not the whole expression) you bring it to the front as a coefficient. I hope this helps.
