how to verify set of vectors will span for a given vector space, if the coefficient matrix is a non-square ones?

    v1=(1,0,0) v2=(0,1,-1) v3=(0,4,-3) v4=(0,2,0) the question asked us to reduce this set of vectors to obtain a basis, and it says to verify that they will span R3 1st.

    or if its this case i should all the combination of 3 vectors and do its determinant to show it spans R3?
