"Peak David" on YouTube posted this (he has excellent videos): I also like this next one because it reminds us not to write generic essays. Its thrust isn't for your traditional college essay (which can be rather formulaic), and so the essay can be more...lively, unpredictable. He is talking about the College Admissions Essay, but I think the points he makes are still valid:
