Sadly, you will encounter foolishness whereever you go. Fortunately, there are many here to help study mathematics. Don't be discouraged and do report what you have encountered. If you don't report it, he'll just do it again.

I hope you don't mind if I first encourage you a little bit. "i am not good at math" Don't ever say or think that again. With a little patience, you can get it. Just slow down and think through each problem. In this case, we are asked ONLY to check a solution. This means we just have to substitute the values and see if they work. (1,-2) x - 2y > 3 Substituting x = 1 and y = -2 (1) - 2(-2) > 3 -- We're hoping it's "greater than" 3. 1 + 4 > 3 -- Just a little simplifying. negative times negative is positive, right? 5 > 3!!! It works! Well, that was only one of the conditions. You try the other one.
