Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1Remember, roots are just exponents that are 1/x. So, square root is to the power of 1/2. Cube root is to the power of 1/3. Therefore, if you want the fifth root, you can put it to the power of 1/5. \[(12^{4})^{\frac{1}{5}}\]

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1Yes, you would. It would be \(12^{\frac{4}{5}}\) or \(12^{0.8}\). Definitely can't be done in your head.
