How are your own past experiences likely to influence the way you perceive news media? You may have to give up on getting the news because your personal routine is too busy to learn it. You may reject your deepest personal beliefs because a reporter on TV disagrees with them. You may hear the news but be unwilling to believe it because of personal feelings about the truth. You may find that the news has nothing to teach you because you already know everything of importance.
